How do you confront the early season bugs and mosquitoes? I had a friend suggest this It can be attached to your hat or somewhere near you in the tree. I was told that mosquitoes fear dragon flies. Friend is a 83 yr old and a bow hunter for 55 +yrs. Hasn't bow hunted in several yrs.
I got a friend that has been using one all summer when he hikes. Attached it to his hat. Said it works, just looks weird. For me the only thing i do is put 2 layers on. Seems to have enough thickness to keep them from biting thru your shirt. Also, wear a hat with a merino wool face gator. Only thing exposed is my eyes. So do get bites right at the corners of my eyes once and awhile. Im not into putting poison on me. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I prefer a theramcell, I do keep Deet-free all natural bug repellent in my pack if I forgot the thermacell. The dragonfly thing is curious. I would consider doing it if someone can offer more proof of effectiveness.
Week 1 of bow season is looking like humidity and the 90s. Add in a giant river or two in close proximity and the mosquitoes look like they are out of Apocalypse Now.
