Hey everyone I live here in Wisconsin and our bowhunting season starts September 17th  Due to my work schedule as a police officer I rarely get out for early season bow, so all of my clothes are for extreme cold weather e.g. late October, November. Well this year I got luck of the draw for time off and shift picks and will be hunting the entire season!! :nana: So here's my question to all of you...What kind of early season (warm) clothes do you wear in order to prevent odor and stay cool at the same time? I have looked at Scent Lok, Under Armour etc and WOW are they outrageous in price. Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I just buy good old walmart camo. Very cheap and works fine. Colder weather I buy good stuff.

ya, the price of clothing nowadays is sad. its amazing what they cost.
I just where the basic BDU type clothing in the warmer weather, Light enough as well as rugged. Cabelas sells them in all camo patterns for around 35 bucks for the pants 15 bucks for a long sleeve shirt , 12 bucks for a t shirt etc. I also have the mesh
Ghille suit in Realtree, its light as paper and breathes like mad. cost around 100 bucks, light enough to wear over your clothes.

I have yet to get my cold weather gear, its very expensive. im not looking forward to that days purchase. i also need cold weather boots too.

I wouldn't buy scent-lok or under armour. Just paying for the name and logo thats on it. Just buy medium thickness clothing and you can always wear long johns and couple other layers just in case it gets to hot/cold. Walmart, or other small local outfitters. Sportsman guide has some cheap apparral Im sure. Camo is camo, don't need the newest design. It all works about the same. Just invest in some 99% scent killer spray or any other scent killer.

I hunt in just regular long sleeve camo shirts & pants, that I can get on sale. Or I have enduraskin from red head that is cool in hot temps. Get that on sale or with gift cards.

light pair of cotton BDU style pants and a light cotton t-shirt... I hunt in short sleeves when the temps are WAY up, then switch to long-sleeve when I can.

On our opener, we are expecting temps from 70 to 85 so I always wear a real lite leafy suit, air passes through easily, and just play the wind. With all the leaves on the trees, the leafy suit looks amazing.

I use a light pair of camo pants, a short sleeve t-shirt, and some face paint. When it's cool enough I will wear a long sleeve t-shirt instead.

You do NOT want to wear NBC gear when it's warm; trust me -- I HAD to for 8 1/2 years... it's NO fun!
