That is Great! Now You will probably be very busy with stuff and wondering how the heck you got it all done before you retired.

37 days and clicking off every getup getting there. Got a job offer working for a local outfitter starting in February! Running cameras, putting in plots, setting tree stands and being chef at one of the three lodges they run! Sounds like my dream job in retirement...

And it will be purely work as I want straight cash...

I retired January of 2017, and I do have a little down time but not to much. I jumped into running the 3 D and indoor winter archery league at the local sportsmen's club. I mow the grass at the sportsmen club. I've started fly fishing. Love it, and live for archery season. I was elected as president of the sportsmen club last year. I work a little (about 6-7 hrs a week) at the YMCA.

    I was 50 in 17 and now I'm 55.

    Love it.

    Good luck Tony

I'm 31 and won't retire until I cannot get in a tractor/combine anymore so hopefully a solid 40 years left.

I'll be retired for 6 years this April. For some reason it seems that I am busier now than before I retired. I think that is a good thing. Got to keep moving to keep the rust off.

Everything I do is projects that I have created myself. I do not have the time or need to work for someone else just to keep busy.

If I can't find something to do, my wife will find something for me. We don't want that!

There isn't much of anything that can compete with a good day on the water when they are rising and you have the patttern they want figured out.
If you ever decide to travel to do some fly fishing, I highly recommend the NorthFork of the Clearwater River in Idaho anywhere near where it merges with Kelly Creek. Kelly Creek is excellent too. You'll want good felt soled boots, lots of wading on slick river rock.

Not sure, but I’ll let you know.
Wife and I both retired in 2019, a month apart. She’s now a travel agent and I’m doing home inspections. We work on our time now.
Was 57 when I retired, we travel a lot, I hunt a lot more and work for my brother farming in the spring and fall. That’s going to end because it’s interfering with elk and deer season!
It’s been great. I will say, we have to watch it, because we can spend more money than we expected when we sat things up.
Watch your money, don’t become a couch potato and you’ll enjoy your new life.

A great man once uttered these words... Free at last free at last! Will be toasting my last day of working this evening with my wife over a huge filet and lobster tail dinner.

    Life is Good!

Well I splurged today ... After leaving work at 10am, I decided to stop by the local gun shop... I am now the proud owner of a Remington 700 bolt action tactical 308 . Topped off with a Burris scope.

Got to get out and break in the barrel!

That is the reason I went with the 308! Bought several boxes of FMJ's in 168 gr to break in the barrel with and 3 boxes of Sig 150 HP for hunting...

Tried to PM ya, but said it was too spam like!
What part of Indiana? I’m about 40 miles west of Terre Haute and hunt down to Greysville.
