Today would be perfect. Is it too early?

Is it necessary to plow a 1 acre plot if you are planting clover and alfalfa. I was hoping to just break the top of ground up with a drag disc. Problem is the ground is pretty firm and I'm only gonna get a few inches with my disc.

I have always just planted mine in small plots. No more than half acre with two different locations. I have corn on the rest of my farm. I usually plant 3-4 inches deep with it. Seems to do well the past few years. I used a tiller last year and planted some Throw & Grow Xtreme...and to be honest that was best plot I've hand...lol. The deer eat it up.

The bag it comes in will have the best recommended directions for planting.

A lot won't unless you buy evolved harvest or something like that. I used Triple 13 and 100 pounds of lime to start with and it worked great.
