I was doing some stand work this past Sunday morning and as soon as I stepped in woods I heard this terrible crying/screaming noise which sounded like a fawn in distress coming from creek at bottom of the hill. It went on for about 30 seconds then I saw a flash through the trees and noticed a bald eagle flying around the water edge. About 30 seconds later it started again and I saw eagle flying away with something large hanging from under it. Not 100 percent certain it was a fawn but sure seemed like it could have been. I’ve seen eagles numerous times in the area and know there’s a best about 1/2 mile down the creek. Also landowner found a tiny dead fawn in his yard earlier in the week. Seems like there may have been some late fawns that are still tiny and getting torn up by eagles. All fawns I have trail cam pics of are big enough that an Eagle May struggle with. Anyone ever heard or seen this before. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
