The way I figure it if a buck can smell my tooth paste .... I am screwed way before that point .
Scent control more then most topics tends to be devoid of common sense quite a bit.

Scent free contact solution my be pushing it but I disagree about breath. Deer can likely smell your breath long before they can smell clean clothing and a clean bathed and likely sprayed down hunter. Breath would be the proverbial weak link remaining. A deer comes in down wind and your breath stinks then it won't matter how clean or neutral the rest of you and your equipment are...you're probably going to get busted.

"Bad breath" doesn't only come from ones mouth. It comes from our lungs too-unless you happen to live in a totally pollution free world........worked on a foundry for 17 years-horrible smelling place. I did quite well hunting.

If we are talking about eliminating breath odor, I think we have reached the point of diminishing returns.

Brush your teeth, chew gum whatever it takes to keep your significant other happy and go kill your deer.

I use the sportsman's edge breath gum, just ordered two packs should get me through 24 hunts and I like it. Maybe it helps, maybe not...but I have more confidence with it so that's what I'll stick to. Every little advantage helps when chasing big old bucks.

I heard that spearmint actually atracts deer and if you brush your teeth with quality spearmint tasting tooth paste you shouldnt have any problems.

Lol. Hunters have to be one of the biggest groups of suckers on the planet.

    Just eat an apple.
