Really hit the lakes hard this summer on the boat.........had an absolute blast and caught a bunch of lunkers. My buddy and I were out the other day and he says "Did you get your license yet??"......"Nah........I keep forgetting".

His follow up.........."Dude, the season starts in a month"

Hung about 10 stands in the last 2 days and scouted a bunch of areas (fancy talk for I took a walk).

Haven't touched my bow in so long I forgot where it was............when I found it (under my chop saw) I realized the last arrow I shot went through the buck I killed last November. Yikes.

10 months later almost to the day.

    She was a little dusty.

First 3 arrows at 25 yards

Shot 6 more arrows with same result, got bored and quit.

Season really snuck up on me this year............hope I didn't procrastinate too long.

    I think I'll be fine.

One arrow is not touching, but still pretty good shooting.

    LOL! :D

That's the beauty of a tuned bow, and years of shooting. Pull it out, make sure everything is good...and you can usually stack em. Not the preferred method, but it'll work! Good luck Atlas...

I know, I don't want you getting all cocky before the season. A month to hunt:mad:, I'll be at it Saturday evening we have an EAS season in my dmu.

BTW from what I read they are looking to move your season to Oct 1st next year, I hope they do!!

I can't really remember the last time I adjusted this bow.

Not the preferred method at all.........and I am not real happy with myself at this moment for waiting so long but it is what it is. Not even really sure why I waited so long. If I had sprayed a 10 inch group I would be sick to my stomach right now.

I still have a month to go so it's not exactly the night before a hunt.

Says the guy wearing a crown in his avatar :D

Yea........NY pretty much sucks moose nads.

That talk scares the hell out of me...........I don't believe ANYTHING they say when they claim it is for archery. They have the WORST muzzleloader season in the country and guys are fed up with it.......therefore when I see them talk about adjusting seasons I KNOW they are just trying to make room for an early ML slot. When and if that happens this state will officially become maybe the worst state (with good potential) in the country.

    Good luck Saturday.

    No KY this year?

    PLEASE---PLEASE---PLEASE

    Go to 1 buck only.

I can't think of a single reason guys should be allowed to kill 2 bucks/year in this state.
