Funny story I wanted to share........ So I live in a small town, my wife helps out at our small local grocery store a few times a week when they need a hand. Mind you it is the same little store I have shopped at my whole life. Anyway long story short my wife gets home from there last night and she is sobbing, she then tells me that she lost her wedding rings in the dumpster or cardboard compacter...lol she wasn't sure which. Hmmm So I finally convinced her to write them off and we would get her a new one. This morning the store owner dug through the trash for 2 hours until he found my wifes rings!! So she cried again!?!?! Women... There are still good people in this world
Yeah I cant believe you are not in big trouble for not spending last night rummaging the dumpster your self.
Nah see I looked at it this way...... Momma gets to upgrade her diamonds and Daddy gets to upgrade his 4-wheeler. I'm glad she got them back, my wife is not a very material person and I know those rings mean alot to her. Frankly if I would have thought there was a snowballs chance to find them I would have dug but if you had ever seen this compacter you'd know why I wrote them off. Still can't believe he dug through that mess. Guess I'm stuck with my old Suzuki another year haha
So your wife's boss had a greater interest in finding her diamond ring than you did? Hope she doesn't start working the late shift all of a sudden.
What a cool guy. I wouldn't do that for my employees. Unless maybe it was uninsured then maybe. But if she had insurance...no way I'm digging through a trash compactor. Have you seen the inside of those? I'd rather pop the stomach of a deer than go spelunking into a cesspool of rotting garbage.
I love how she cried twice lol. Sounds like the guy is a great guy. I would give that guy a small tip or something for helping me out.
Ya pretty much, I figured it was likely smashed up anyway and we had been talking about upgrading her ring anyway as when we got married I couldn't really afford what she wanted and I always told her one day I would get her a ring that was worthy of her. Figured this was the perfect time to do it. The store owner is a family friend I have known my entire life, he felt he was obligated to find it because he is good people and thats how he rolls. Amazingly only one of the 2 rings was just slightly bent so it is being fixed today.
Yes that thing is a hideous mess, not to mention she really wasn't sure if it was in the compactor, dumpster, or the cardboard compactor.lol She just knew once she got done doing all her closing up routine they were gone.
Wow, theres not many people that would do that for someone else out there. I makes my day for people to go out of their way to help someone else out like that!
