I need to ask a dumb question here. Last year I bought a TRUGLO site, Model #TG5311B. I bought because it was tool-less and micro adjust. Been a good site.
My dumb question is, it has a led light which I have never used. I have never found a reason to use it. I was just wondering how many here use the light on there sights?
I realize I live out west and maybe our cover aint as thick and I do hunt from sun up to sun down. Just one of those dumb questions Ive wondered about about.:)

I have a different TRUGLO site but with the same light. I do not use the light. It is too bright so see past while shooting. If I need to "charge" the pins up I just use a small flash light.

I also had issues with adjusting the light on the sight. It would flash on then off when I shot.

I don't have a light on my sight but I do believe one use from it would be if you were in an enclosed blind the light would be helpful.

I practice after dark sometimes. I can stand outside my shop and shoot towards the lighted room where my targets are...works great
I have never used it while hunting, I am careful not to even turn it on in my stand. From past experience, it will ruin your night vision or low light vision. Pins are so bright, I could not see anything beyond them in low light.

I've found if its dark enough that i need extra light to illuminate my pins, its dark enough that I can't see clearly through the peep sight so lighting the pins is irrelevant.

If I can see through my peep, then there's enough natural light to illuminate my pins.

The only time I ever have is hunting out of a blind. It can be pretty dark in a blind both morning and evening during legal shooting hours. Normally, that is limited to spring turkey season for me. The light I use is detachable and I usually just keep it with my blind bag.

For those that care,( I dont) I believe a light on your bow will keep any deer you shoot out of the trophy books.
