I posted this status with 0.4s left in the game...Should've thrown it in here too ;)

The Believer/Dreamer -- Congratulatory status regarding Lehigh's incredible performance against a very good Duke team.
The Hater -- Negative, ignorant post about Duke without even acknowledging the winning team.

HAHAHA, and OU beating michigan! AS a former Athens, OH resident I was pretty pumped to see that turnout. One of my friends from highschool actually starts for OU.

Enjoy it while you can. That terrible coach you mentioned does seem to have done somthing right along the way. He's won national titles, graduates kids, got the USA back into winning the olympics after several celebrated coaches failed. Yup, he's a bad man. West Point grad, winningest coach of all time and keeps on getting the most out of lesser atheletes. I said going into this year they sucked and it finally showed up in their shooting. So gloat all you want NY... but I do remember one game this year with UNC where you went into hiding. What's up with that? You weren't jumping and spewing your crap that day. True, they got their revenge... but they should have. Your coach has gotten so little out of so much talent over the years it's pathetic. It's hard for a school that is only 5000 kids to recruit players who can measure up academically. Duke has it's standards and it hurts them at times. Gloat all you want. How many ACC titles and tournaments has Duke won in the past 10 years. Yup,.... more than anyone. No one even close. Payback is a ***** and it does come around. Sportsmanship and honor don't seem to be your strong points. Just slamming a good program and coach because.... well for no real valid reason seems quite childish to me.

The same coach that took over an unranked UNC team and has won 2 National Championships in his 8 years there? Or the coach that got his team to a number one seed with 3 starters currently sitting on the bench?

Nobody cares about conference titles (except Duke). Hell I dont' think Carolina even wanted to be in it this year.
    I'm an opportunist.
Actually I was on here and gave a very accurate assessment of why they lost...... and it later showed like I said it would.

I just call it like it is. Sometimes people don't like hearing it. I have to get my jabs in while I can. Don't worry you can give it back in another round or two. I also said UNC won't get past the sweet 16. Again, just call it like it is.

Anyone catch the gem of a poster the student had at that game? "I am ridiculous... Lehigh"

Duke was over rated all year long and showed why this weekend....only thing that could have made it better would be for them to have made the Elite 8 and received their beatdown from Kentucky instead.

The only thing better is Kentucky's exemplary athlete-student basketball players with their outstanding graduation rates.

They've graduated every senior for the past 10 years, I think it is. The ones that left early got a jumpstart to their career making millions in the NBA. These are basketball players that go to college with aspirations of playing in the NBA (Just like EVERY basketball player going to college). It's not Kentucky's fault that they are better at recruiting the good players than Duke, UNC, and every other program foaming at the mouth to recruit these same kids. Keep trying though. :sheep:

Have those great players formed to win a national title since 1998? I mean they are the "best" players assembled each year, right? They should be killing everyone, every year based on their top notch recruits.

They played Lehigh and lost... that was the name of the other team. Lehigh played well, yes Duke was off their game a bit but Lehigh earned the win by hitting shots, rebounding and playing defense. They deserve to be congratulated. Your comments are tacky and offensive.

They do get players where they want to go, that's for sure. Calipari is shameless in his mentality of basketball first, life and school second. I've recently become friends with two guys who were at Laurenburg Prep when Calipari was paying guys there and, after conversations with them, there's no way I'll ever support a Calipari coached team again. I always wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt over media based speculation, but talking to players who actually went through it...the man doesn't deserve to be in the NCAA.

X 2...wahoo, I worked with a couple of guys that were heavily recruited out of hs and they both told me it was well known Calipari paid players and recruits.

LOL It's hilarious that there is all this proof of him paying players laying around, yet no one has pinned him with it despite the media witch hunt for him.

This isn't worth arguing. I'll wait until something comes out more concrete than I know a guy who knows a guy who got over recruited by Calipari and then said he knows Cal pays players. That is pretty solid.

I never understood the disdain for Calipari when you have coaches like Bruce Pearl, Jim Calhoun, Ben Howland, Mike K, and others actually breaking recruiting rules/NCAA infractions at major programs and no light is shed on those stories. It's comical.

And the best overall team rarely actually wins it. In his first two years, Cal took a 35-3 team to the Elite 8 then a 29-9 team to the Final 4. This year his 34-2 team is the number 1 overall seed already in the Sweet 16. Cal is now 51-0 at home in Rupp in his 3 years.

I don't know if we win it this year or not (pessimist in me sees us choking somewhere along the way), but to suggest he hasn't turned UK into a dominant program right there in the runnings for a NCAA title annually, is beyond silly.

You think other players are going to throw him under the bus? Come on man, you're smarter than that. Guys worry that, if they report what they know/have seen that it'll ruin their chances. When you're involved in the world we're talking about you get to see it up close and personal and, while as a Calipari/Kentucky guy it's easy for you to sit there and dismiss allegations as a "media with hunt", when you're concerned with the kids themselves its hard to support him.

And, it's not I "know a guy who knows a guy," these were players from Laurinburg who saw Calipari on campus daily paying them and their teammates, giving them free gifts, etc. Completely illegal and completely accepted in many circles.
