ACC tournament championship game today. It should be a good one. Couple rivals going at eachother for the championship. They split the regular season meetings. Always ends up being a good game to watch. I'm not feeling it for UNC this time. They've been winning and winning a lot in recent times. But, to be honest they don't look real good during this tourney. Hell I think they've only led a total of less than a minute during regulation in both games they've played. Walked away with a victory, but probably should have lost both games. If the don't defend the perimeter against Duke like they haven't against Miami and Clemson, it will be lights out and ugly. Wide open looks in both games. Also if they go down by 15 or 20 like they did in the first two games, Duke will bury them and not let them come back. One of the two will happen. May end up being relatively close, but I think Duke handles them comfortably.

The future looks really good though. The Barnes kid is the real deal.... wow. Now with Marshall running the show the offense looks good, that kid can play too. Special talent to see the court the way he does. The emergence of Henson is a nice surprise. Not sure what got into him, but he's playing some ball as well. Give these boys another year or so and look out.

UNC scares me (as a Duke fan). They scare me, now.....and they REALLY scare me for next season.

UNC rebounds really well. They'll kill Duke inside. I'm pulling for Duke to win. But, I see UNC getting in the bonus pretty quickly. I'm betting UNC shoots more free throws than DUke, today (and that almost never happens).

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if UNC wins. Margin aside.....they're on fire, right now.

My wife is a huge Duke fan and has slowly tried to convert me. We will be watching the game.

They are a year away. Not ready for tournament play. Way too many mistakes and piss poor decisions. Oh well..... the future looks good.

I still hope Duke doesn't see them again, this year.

They're (UNC) a lot better than I thought they would be this year. Again, credit where due.

Gotta go. They're gettin' ready to cut some nets down!

Man, this thread ended quickly. No smart ass remarks or complaints about the refs or Duke. I understand the "No complaints about the refs" because they were all pulling for UNC. But really.... no smart jabs at the Dukies. LOL

Yesterdays game was a prime example of how Duke can look great. They defended extremely well and and were knocking down there shots. When they make their shots and defend like that, they are a very good team. I didn't feel good about Carolina winning going in, but they will be a strong tournament team thats for sure.

The only complaint I have about the game as a UNC fan is Tim Brant. Wow, was it obvious to anyone else how much he favored and was in love with Duke? Mike Gminkski (sp?) was too, but I honestly can't believe how infatuated Brant was with Duke. It was sickening.

Quite a few charging calls that were clearly blocks that got given to Duke and a technical foul that should have been called on Singler for "helping" a player on his way to the ground, but nothing that would have swayed the game the other way. I think UNC and Duke will both have an alright tournament though.

You mean the one where he was elbowed in the face?

You do know that's an automatic technical, don't you (elbow above the shoulders).....intentional or not?

It was a way for the refs to keep both players out of foul trouble. Good no call IMO.
