Ive done a couple euro mounts and boiled it a total of 3 times with dawn dish detergent. Now, be sure to do this outside, a good way away from anything cause it produces a good smell, and it might upset some people having to deal with the smell lmao. Be sure the brain cavity is completely clean, now this is the hardest part. Its just tedious and takes some time. Once you have the skull clean as best you can get, let the skull sit in some peroxide. I couldnt tell you exactly how much because I just guestimated, but it turned out fine. I use about 2-3 bottles and if you dont want to bleach the rack any, cover it up somehow so none of the peroxide gets on the rack. This method has worked great for me the 2 times I have done it. Good luck to ya

If he is going to do all the boiling etc. anyway, why bury it for a year? I just throw the whole head in the pot and simmer it right away. The hide and everything just falls off anyway. A pressure washer works great to clean it up during and after simmering. I have a clean euro mount within a day or two of killing the deer. I also use the 40 creme and soak paper towels.

Okay 7 months. Why wait 7 months when you can do the same thing in a couple of days? Also, the skull will come out cleaner and whiter than it will after being buried. I guess I dont have the patience. If it is a buck I think enough of to shoot, I want to be able to have him in my trophy room sooner than later. They really are very easy to clean up if you just simmer it for a while.
