Yup mallards and gaddies didn't want to work but the ringnecks would dive down before even touching the calls. Ended up with 3 redheads, 2 mallards, and 19 ringnecks

Those ringnecks are quick! Green heads are finally making there way down here. Were going in the am to flooded timber. Should kill woodys early then greenheads about 830.

Hope you guys had a good hunt this morning. And yep we went through more shells than we usually would on those ringnecks that's for sure!

Oh man. I want to go duck/goose hunting so bad. Its pretty hard to find land to hunt them on around here so thats the challenge. I have the gun and everything already. I got a goose and duck call some months ago just to mess with and its pretty fun. One day I hope to eventually be able to go on a hunt for them.

Looks like a good day in the timber Z7. What kind of timber were you hunting? Hardwoods or cypress/tupelo?

The timber we hunt is all hardwoods. DU manages this place. There was literally like an inch of acorns floating on top of the water. If we have water the place is dynamite.

Sounds like a fun spot to hunt. Can't beat some late morning greenheads in the timber.

Well been about a month since I updated this.

    12/4 with 3 other guys. 17 total
    [IMG]

12/16 by myself in the timber. Should have had my limit but my gun was misfiring because I hadn't taken the bolt apart and cleaned it in a few years. That was still the most relaxing morning I've had all year.

12/19 with two other guys. 12 total
    [IMG]

12/23 with 3 other guys. Only fired one shot that day, glad I made it count. Talk about a slow day.

12/26 with 3 other guys. 24 total. Guys to the left and right of me have been my best friends for as long as I can remember. Buddy on the left is home for the holiday from the marines and we took him on his first duck hunt. That was a great day.

I got a barrel cam for Christmas and used it the 26th. Got a bunch of the shots on video, only problem is a lot of them where ruined because of water being on the cameras protective case. Here's the only one that turned out. Watch it in HD. Can't wait to use it again on Thursday.

Yup get both breasts out, marinate in either Italian dressing or Dale's/Andrea's steak sauce and then throw them on the Weber.
