I just got into watefowl this year. Seems like a blast. It is already getting exspensive. Im getting decent at calling but there arent too many spots around here to hunt them. I dont seem me missing a morning of deer season to go duck hunting quite yet though.

Yeah just started this past season. Already had the Benelli and have been clay shooting for as long as I could hold a gun so it seemed like an easy transition. It was a blast and I can't wait for it to roll around again. I killed some buffleheads, blacks and some hoodies my first trip.

I have done a lot of goose hunting, but this was my first year duck hunting. I was doing some scouting for some of my fall fields and saw big flocks of mallards using the pond on the north end of the field. Stopped at Gander on the way home picked up a Mojo and 2 dozen Mallard shells, put them out the next morning with my goose spread and had a blast! ducks where all over the place. I had heard that they would lock up on a Mojo and it was so true, had the mojo just to the side of my layout and had duck feet in our faces all morning. Was instantly hooked. Honkers are still my number one when it comes to waterfowl, but anytime I see mallards in the area I will definitely be bringing the Mallard shells and mojo!
