I literally believe they are dumb and rich enough to buy something such as a vineyard and get in way over their head and eventually sell it (and likely have before). The show was completely staged to portray such a scenario. Thats kind of what I was getting at. The only thing not portrayed in this show, is how huge of a genius willie has been in turning the family business into an empire. He is a marketing guru for sure.
most certainly Phil had a cult following for a while with his old local TV shows, but they did not get huge until Willie took over. Then they were everywhere.
I went to a wildgame dinner a couple years back with a coworker. It was held at a church's community center. I learned that night hat ole Phil is a "fire and brimstone" preacher. I was scared!

Hard pressed to find Boudin and Cracklins and my expectations of a shrimp Po-Boy exceed those of Popeyes. Although, it is absolutely beautiful up there.
I used to buy some of their VHS tapes back in the day when nobody knew who they were and they all lived in crappy trailers. Now I had to give my neighbor girl duck calls and camo so she could dress up like them for Halloween!
Sad to admit it but we DVR the show at home. My wife who cant stand hunting or fishing shows thinks its funny...I enjoy it also. For some reason it seems real to me....... I am delusional.
I watch it every week, I know it's all staged and everything but I still enjoy it. Beats the hell out of re-runs
Never saw it. I hope it's not one of those deals like Duck Commander where idiots paint themselves black and acted like fools with mental problems.
