Duck Dynasty...

Im sure most of us enjoy it because its funny as hell,

But seriously, is there a better show out there promoting the outdoorsman/hunting style of life?

Ive never been a fan of TV, but Duck Dynasty is something i MUST watch.

Thoughts?

 

I have yet to see an episode of it but have seen the previews and it def looks funny.. I can't wait to actually see it and form a better opinion on it.

I can't watch it because it is so horribly scripted.

 

I watch it and love it. I don't care that its scripted. Every "reality" show out there is scripted. I watch TV to be entertained and that show definitely delivers.

Exactly....it is scripted pretty bad but I get over it every Wednesday. Makes me laugh out loud.

 

well it really irks me when it seems that every reality show right now is based in LA, and they script them to make everyone seem like the dumbest people in the world

 

The best part of it is the fact that Willie seems to never be in on the script.

From the shows I've seen, it seems Phil just kinda goes along with everything. I've met him on several occasions, as he is somewhat of a legend at my college (he started over Terry Bradshaw at QB), and he is about as genuine as they come.

Not Cali, but we should be deciding if we are moving to Seattle here in a couple of months.

 

Is that a wife reference or a reference to the fact that our NFL teams suck

 

I believe that is the best part of the show, this family is quite legit.

i love the show, yes it is scripted but like said in other post they are all scripted but it is funny enough i dont care and its a show the whole family can agree on watching i will have to miss this season tho cause i have my emt class on wed nights and we dont have DVR

 

Don't forget the fact that Phil has a Masters Degree in Education as well!

 

Remember folks it's entertainment and I will take this over jersey shore anytime. Well I would love to see jenn's ( I think that's her name) chi chi's. When does the new season start?

 

I'm a fan of the bearded men. Definitely a must watch show for me.

 

At first I couldn't get past some of the horrible scripting. Now, I actually enjoy the show.

 

Agreed. It's one of the rarities where I truly believe they script it to actually resemble how their daily life really is. While the situations are faked to actually get them on camera, I don't feel like they are fake situations that wouldn't normally happen with the Robertsons.
