I'm workin' on that buddy... I promise. I've spent 6 of the last 14 days in Kansas and it hasn't panned out just yet. I've passed on a lot of deer that I would shoot other places but I'm not burning that Kansas tag on a 125" deer. I've got 2 months in Oklahoma and 6 weeks in Kansas.

I've had more bucks near me or under me this season than I can remember, just nothing that has interested me yet. And I couldnt get on the big boys in the early season, usually I do on at least one, but I didnt this season. My rut is a good two weeks behind you guys, bucks arent even giving does the slightest bit of attention but its gonna change soon, when does start coming into estrus. Big bucks in these mountains dont need to or choose to live in and around does, they show up when the time is right. Like always it really picks up here after the 20th of November and even better after Thanksgiving. I have a 7 day trip in ND too. Lord willing I should find one to shoot before Jan.

 

I have 6 weeks of season left, no I won't be there for all of it!! I wish!!!!:d
