Seriously....what is the point? The 19 yo dbag neighbor put duals on his POS truck. To me, thats like putting a thumping stereo in a Yugo....everyone will know you have a chitty vehicle.

One more night of him rattling the windows at 3am....I may be forced to do very bad things.

I personally like dual exhaust. But only if it is on an 8 cylinder vehicle. Nothing sounds worse than duals on a v6 or some little street racer wannabe. No straight pipes either, unless its on a diesel.

Honestly, I'd like to take a sawzall and cut the steering wheel/column out of the damn truck. More fun than sugar in the gas tank, and much more effective. :D

sorry no vids, i'll try to find some pics though... it was very unassuming... all stock body work... just had a wicked exhaust sound... magna flows with an X pipe with BBK shorty headers... thing was an 11 sec car with crappy street tires, ET Streets got me in the 10's (and kicked out of the strip for not havin a cage)... i didn't dare put full on slicks, i woulda broke everything between the motor and the ground... :D

it was an animal... custom grind Comp Cam, large bennett racing ported Canfield heads, ported short runner e-brock intake, billet t-body/spacer, 30 over forged/clearanced pistons... you name it, short of a stroker kit the motor had about everything done that could be done...

There is exceptions to the rules... 60's and 70's are that....

My question is...What is everyones deffinition of duals... Most people that have "Dual exhaust" are just running a split pipe at the end. or this is what I have seen.

My SRT4 had Magnaflow's Cat back exhaust on it, and it sounded pretty damn good. Not loud, not annoying, but deep, and throaty. That was a split pipe.

The things I hate are the fart cans, and whatever the heck they have now days. They don't add power, they do absolutly NOTHING for you, or your car. I wish people would understand that. A muffler does absolutly nothing when that is the only thing you do to your car!!! You want more power? .... Have your engine professionally built for power!

this is true... last last couple generations of F-body's have been notorious for this in stock form... most people don't move to true duals unless they are putting on headers that force a change in the catalytic system... a stock styled catback does little for performance but it sure sounds fast... a classic example is late model harley baggers... the exhaust pipe on the left side of the bike is a dummy... but installing a true dual setup with a crossover pipe ( H or X pipe) and a quality catback like flowmasters, magnaflows, or even the edlebrocks setup really changes the pitch of the exhaust and can add some power... though very little and there are many thing you can do for less money to up the power in your ride, they just don't sound as cool... :D
