Was showing off my bow to a friend, turned away to grab the trigger and he dry fires it before I can say anything. What should I look for to see if I should replace the string and all. There is a little unraveling of the tightly wrapped yarn around the string. The fraying is minimal but there is definitely some signs of it at random spots on the string. Thanks in advanced!

Bring it to a bow shop to have it checked out before you draw it again.

how many days should he expect your red handprint to stay on the side of his head ? LOL

as stated, take it to a shop to have the string checked or replaced, and limbs/ect. to be inspected for cracks

Like everyone else said take it to a shop. But if you don't look it over really good and look for stress cracks on the limb. Check the cams to make sure they all look straight. On the serving you can coat it with clear fingernail polish to help stop it from raveling further. Tap it to see if you hear vibrations and investigate and fix any you find. Hope things are ok.

First thing I'd look for is a club to beat some sense into my buddy...

Man that sucks, hope everything is alright. I'm always so nervous about handing my bow to anyone. Unless I know they are a seasoned archer I always tell them not to draw, even then I feel like I'm going to offend someone but truly I'd rather someone was mad at me than have my bow blow up this close to the season!
