Been a long time since I played... I make it to an occasional show here and there still.
Love my NY Hardcore! I used to spend a lot of time in Albany area going to shows. Always loved the Boston scene and many of the other great bands in NE. We used to head out to OH, etc to see all sorts of bands....

I haven't played in about 15 years. Still miss it, I still find myself doing the double bass with my feet! LOL

Boston used to be an awesome city to see heavy metal bands. And a goal for local bands. There used to be a couple of great bats to play and to catch a show at.
the middle east, the paradise, and a few others I can't remember.

Ever since the patriots won the Super Bowl in 2001, then the Red Sox in 2004, it killed the Boston music scene. So many bars converted over to sports bars, and local bands had no place to play. I think Godsmack is the last decent band to come out of Boston. They were awesome to see in a small club, and were all approachable after a show. I did five consecutive shots of tequila with Sully one night after the show.

You can still see a few decent metal bands in Worcester.

I remember seeing Godsmack before they ever even had an album out... way back...
We used to go see 10 Yard Fight, Bane, Converge, etc. back in the day.
Albany, NY area always had (and still do have) some killer bands. Stigmata, War Time Manner, Gunther Weezul, Skinless, and a few others are still alive and well, and bands like Section 8, Cutthroat, Withstand, Staight Jacket, etc. will always be on my playlist.

Nothing like some good ol' hardcore. We have a couple songs in that style as well. This was the last song we wrote before the band broke up way back when. Whenever we get one of the hXc style ones down I'll post it up.
A lot of influence from Advent, Madball, Terror..

Are there any other Type O Negative fans here?

Type O Negative never gets old for me, can listen to them again and again

I've been a type O fan since the mid 90s. Nothing like driving to my hunting spot at three in the morning blasting some Type-0.
