spring is soon to be here in Michigan, and this will be my first year at attempting to take a turkey with my bow, i will also carry my gun, just in case the big boy comes along and does not present me with a good bow shot,
The question- i shot around 65 lbs, i use eston deer hunter 360, 29 and 1/2 inch arrows with nap blood runner 2 blade. i was wondering, i can hold my draw and accurately shoot my bow for about 15 seconds, but i know from past time with turkeys this could go 1 min to longer. how low can i drop my bow weight to allow me to hold my draw for about 1 min, and shoot still spot on, without having to retune my bow.

if im not mistaken, even if you drop it just a few pounds, youll have to at a minimum re-sight it. unless youre talking about something more in depth, then ill just let someone else chime in. they probably know more than i do anyway.

That depends on a lot of factors but if you drop more than 5 pounds your spine will be off for the arrow causing a bit of left/right tuning that'll need to be taken care of. If you're at 65 now I assume that your bow is 60-70 lbs. If that's the case, I doubt that dropping to 60 is going to be a significant enough change in holding weight to get you what you're after. If I had a turkey specific bow it'd have about 50 lbs draw.
