I was wondering If I could have John Deere gator drop me in my stand and how high do you sit in your climber?

All depends on the situation, tree, cover ext. Just try to hide your self as best as possible.

I have a 17.5 ft ladder stand and a hang on that is 19ft to the platform. Have yet to get busted that high. They are both on the edge of a ravine and the winds take the scent right over their heads.

Usually 15ft is about the lowest someone will go. I try to put mine as high as the tree will allow up to 25ft.

I would think 18 to 20 feet about right if you have lots of leaves and back cover. Sometimes getting dropped off from a UTV or ATV is better than trying to walk in. The crunch-crunch from walking in is a dead give away that the mighty 'Nimrod Approaches'. The steady drone of an approaching or departing UTV does not usually spook the average deer. They get used to hearing them all the time, especially in agricultural areas. Make sure though that your jurisdiction allows you to head in to your location with a UTV. We cannot use them from 1 hour before sunrise to noon.
