Never had any experience with the Apache, but I had a QAD and I loved it. I'm sure you can't go wrong with either of the two.
Shot a Rytera Nemisis with the NAP Apache. Great rest, but then i compared the apache to the QAD and put the QAD on my bow because of the weight savings. Both are Excellent rest for any bow. You will be happy no matter what way you go.
Most drop-aways work pretty good, the question I always ask is which is quieter. A lot of them make a pretty loud noise when the rest bottoms out because it falls under spring pressure. Unless it has a noise suppression bumper of some kind they can be fairly loud. I'm using a G5 at present but thinkin bout tryin the QAD. Are they pretty quiet?
I chose to go with the RipCord Code Red because it didn't seem as bulky as the Apache. I liked the no tools option of it, but it wasn't enough to swing my vote.
Love my Muzzy ''zero''effect,I lost a good friend yrs ago and his brother gave his bow to me.Cat u always had good taste,in equipment ,booze and friends Rest well my friend
I've never used the apache but I used the QAD HD ultra rest last year and the new HDX this year both are great products and I would recommend them to anyone! They're very accurate, consistent, easy to tune with and if set up correct, you'll never have fletchings hitting rest! The best features are the lock down feature where after the shot the actual fork part of the rest stay in the down position and that it is a full capture as opposed to the apache where it is not a true "full capture" rest.
it is a matter of personal choice; those that use the QAD will say the QAD and those with the apache will say the apache. same for those with a whisker biscuit. i tried out all three and stuck with the QAD because it operated the best for me with my setup.
I am interested in a drop away, Is it hard to stalk with one not having the arrow rested like say a wisker biscuit ? What are the chances of having a failure, like the string breaks. Then your day is over right?
