I was just wondering about this topic today because where I live in Cental British Columbia it can get very cold and snowy. We just had our first snowfall a couple of days ago and it got me wondering how a fall away arrow rest is in the winter. I havent hunted to much myself in the winter, so i was just wondering if the rest ever freezes causing it not to do its job properly. Has anyone had problems with fall away rests in the winter season?

Does not get too cold here but with temps in the 20's it still works fine.

We can have some really cold days in the stand in Wisconsin and I've never noticed a problem with my QAD. I think if we had moisture and then it got super cold, it could cause a problem but I haven't noticed it yet. :tu:

From what I've heard a frozen rest is one of the main reasons people go to a drop away.

Ya they way i looked at it is as long as the rest doesnt get covered in snow or get wet it shouldnt freeze or anything and work fine. I was just curious if weather conditions have ever caused anyones rest to not work properly. I was planning on doin some lynx and cougar hunting this winter and was thinking of maybe switching to a whisker biscuit since ill be walking through the woods which could maybe lead to the rest getting covered in snow and then freezing..
