Ive always shot a whisker biscuit and I just got a drop away with my new bow. Which way do you knock your arrow? Ive seen people do it both ways. Is it odd feather up or odd feather down? By the way I have a QAD ultra rest. Anyone used it? Is it good?:tu:

Odd fletch up should be a safe bet. There are only a few modern rests that expect anything else.

I shot odd up until I got my new bow and the arrows where coming out a lot faster so I needed the extra room for the 2 side vanes so I put it down now.

I have always heard to put your off feather to the side or up top with drop aways, to never have it face down.

NEVER NEVER put your add vane down.
I know alot of guys do it.
But there is a chance of the vane making contact with the rest during its release do to the arrows flex during flight.
It's just like shooting a long bow or a recurve IMO odd feather always away from the riser or handle.

Cock vane up unless otherwise directed by the manufacturer.

I changed to a Quad Ultra this season, its a decent rest but if I could do it over I would get another brand. It has good adjustments and shoots fine, to me its just extremely loud. I've done almost everything to quite the rest with no success.

You'll be extremely hard pressed to fnd a fallaway that is ANY quieter. From the QAD the Ripcord to the Limb Driver to the Trophy Taker..... they WILL all make some sound. I think you're being way to critical. In fact, you'll be impressed to know how quiet they actually are if you step away from your rig and let someone else shoot it.
