Any thoughts on a good drop away arrow rest I am shooting the diamond iceman. I am considering the g5 expert II but wanted to get some input before i actually buy anything. Thanks for the advice in advance
I had a ripcord on my bowmadness. And I have one on my dream season x force. I love it! It is the first one I have had, but haven't found the need to try another yet.
I have been using a Vaportrail Limbdriver for the last 3 years and can't see changing anytime soon. It's simple to setup, is extremely accurate and you never have to worry about fletching contact due to a slow drop rate. IMO, it really is the best drop away system going.
I have been using the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone for the last several years and have always been very happy with it!
I'm using the QAD Ultra-Rest. It goes up when I pull back, holds the arrow while I'm figuring out what to do and then drops away when I pull the trigger. What more could a person want??? RC
I agree with the Ultra Rest. I have the HD model and have had absolutely no problems and I have shot well over 1000 arrows through it. Stays up on a slow let down but drops when you shoot. Cris Western Illinois University Archery Club
I shoot a ripcord. It is super accurate. All the 3d guys at my club shoot ripcords. The only issue with the ripcord is if u draw full then need to let down, the rest will fall and can be annoying.. But u learn to live with it.. Most accurate rest I have used..
I loved the NAP apache I had on my bowmadness, and the new carbon version for this year seems awesome. Currently I'm shooting the QAD ultrarest HDX pro on my Z7X and its the cat's pajamas as far as I'm concerned. its kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for in the world of archery. This rest is tough, accurate, quiet, and made in america. I'm a big fan!
I have had my Drop Zone for 3 or 4 years now and have never had a problem. What problems did you have? Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
The drop bar kept bending and not droping down all the way. Not really sure how or why. I had it fixed and it happened again. Must of had something to do with the spring inside.
I am using a Ripcord also, I switched from a WB and havn't looked back, but any of the rests mentioned will serve you well, they are all good quality.
That sucks. Never heard of that happening before. I am sure that it has to be part of the mechanism inside it.
QAD Ultra rest has given me zero problems and stays up when you let down slow, also locks when down so you don't worry about any kick back hitting the arrow.
