You're very comical, you're upset with a person who purchased land, for himself, and chooses to do what he wants with that land? I respect your enthusiasm about qdm, but unless you paid for land, you can't dictate what others do or don't do with their property. Like it or not. You can "report" me for disagreeing with you too.

    I'm happy you're amused...
I never said he didn't have a right to do as he saw fit with his land....that does not mean I have to respect a person who is an irresponsible ****. I've never bothered the guy, complained to him about his actions or tried to be a bur under his saddle in any way so where do you get off telling me I cannot dictate to others what they do with their land....I have never done that in any way, shape or form.

Why would I report you? I reported the other guy for getting pissy and calling me a rude name not for disagreeing with me. Why are you so bent out of shape from me discussing a local circumstance that has nothing to do with you or anyone you know....what the problem is? Are you put off because you are a blood thirsty, irresponsible **** like my neighbor or what?

You're calling your neighbor all these names because he does what he wants with his land, pointless. I am "bloodthirsty", I am not irresponsible, and I'm sure I'm not whatever those little stars mean, knowing that you said a naughty word. You're the one that seems to be really bent out of shape. Nonetheless, this thread is for the guy that just bought his OWN property, so I'll quit arguing with you..congrats again on your own place!

The word was T.W.A.T....I guess you can consider that a bad name though I'm not sure I have ever seen it in a forums safety editor.

Yes I'm a little bent out of shape because I offered words of consideration to a great guy that bought his own property and to anyone else that may buy their own property next to someone that spends a lot of time, effort and money to manage wildlife...knowing that sometimes people just don't stop and think about their actions. I had hoped by relaying my perspective that someone may just stop and think a second and give more consideration about being a responsible neighbor, hunter and landowner.

I never imagined a few folks might go off the handle and call me a D.ouche because I have no respect for my neighbor that bought a little 30 acres and invites his entire construction crew of panamanians and his other dozen buddies to slaughter deer from bow season through rifle season. Who doesn't plant any food, place any mineral or do anything in any way shape or form to give back to the local system from which they are raping and pillaging. Darn right I'm not happy about it...can I do anything about it...no...it is his land he bought. But I don't have to be happy about it.

My only point was to relay the POV from a neighbors (my) perspective for folks to keep in mind. Why I find myself being attacked because of it is a total mystery. Then you had to throw tha tcheap snide remark about me reporting you too in there....that was just rediculous.

Your neighbor needs thank you for doing such a great job, I'm sure he likes them big deer you feed and raise for him.... hell, I need a neighbor like you. If you lived next to my hunting ground it would save me allot of time and work.
Just an idea, you might wanna see if you can buy his ground from him......= no more game hog neighbor.

I don't mind neighbors enjoying my labor...to a certain extent. I knew when I started managing my deer, turkey and quail that it was a broad scope that would benefit folks a ways around me. In fact that was a lot of the reason why I started it. I also knew that at any time land could sell around me to someone like this guy but I managed anyway in spite of it....that's all a person can do. My area has always been full of local rednecks with the "if it's brown it's down" mentality...poachers, road hunters (usually while drinking), trespassers, etc.. It's not like I'm thin skinned or stupid enough to not expect this stuff to happen for that matter, but this guy really takes the taco for nerve wrecking jerks.

No he won't sell it, I already tried that. He was a friend of the family to the previous land owner or I would have bought it before a guy like this one moved in. I have always been friendly and respectable with the guy and even tried to get him to join our local QDMA land owners program but he refuses because he knows he and his crew aren't going to do anything responsible. Hell I and others have even offered to help him put in food plots etc..He said, "why do I need food plots and stuff when you have 60 acres of corn right across the fence"....

    It is what it is....

Settle down, guys. Would hate to close a perfectly good thread from a member celebrating his new purchase.

Well, it's officially mine as of yesterday at 3pm!! For a few unforseen reasons the closing took longer than anticipated but it is done and now the fun can begin! I'm going out tomorrow to cut in a rough trail so that I can access the back 40 with my 4 wheeler. I've already had a feeder and camera up there but to access it I've been using the road that goes through the neighboring property. I want to have my own access so tomorrow I'll get started. I'll be posting a few before and after pics. Anyway, let the fun and memory makin begin!

Also I was excited to see a few hen turkeys on the cams a few days ago.
