I was going to post this same exact thing, but decided to read through first. I'll have to make mine a 12 point now though.
Something that looks something like this.... or maybe the second one too which is my Dad's. He sure is a wide sucker. I want one with cool characteristics that either has a lot of junk, wide, or tall. This one is pretty cool also, with the double main-beam
A giant typical that is TALL and NARROW! Something 12-14" wide is my dream - but 14-16" 2's, 3's, 4's - oh wait, that's a typical WR! he he he... That would do!
A dream buck for me would have to be something that is in the realm of obtainable so, I would say something in the form of 160 PA inchs in any form or fashion.
heavy and knarly - from public ground. This way I can poke my buddies that they had every chance to take the buck as I did (first bull elk with bow will be sweet as well)
I have been lucky enough to kill a couple of dream bucks. About 4 years ago I took a 169" 10 pt that was 24 1/2" inside and had a 7" drop-tine. Then last October I took a 15 pt that grossed 185" and was only 14" inside but had over 42" of mass. Those are my best bow kills to date. Do I have to have an outside photo account of some type to upload them??? I have never taken the time to learn about posting photos at this site yet. Any input would be appreciated.
Go to the water cooler and there is a thread at the top of the page that will walk you through it, I believe. Your buck that you shot last Oct. sounds a lot like the buck I want my dream buck to be...Would love to see the pics!
Here are a couple of my dream bucks as mentioned in earlier post. Thanks zimmer. Looking for a net booner typical with bow now. But anything around 150" or better is in trouble.
You have shot some beautiful whitetail...That top buck would forsure be my dream buck, just how I want it to be.
Thanks guys. The top buck was a 3 year chase. Glad it took me so long to get him so he could grow up.:d I have 3 of his sheds and got pictures of him quite often but it was always at night as is often the case with older deer. Finally got him last October 28th working a scrape line I had gotten his picture on. I used the can call and he came to 10 yards. I had watched him work scrapes for 15 minutes and called to him as he was going to leave without offering a good shot. I had to pass him up the season before during late muzzleloader season because his left side was broken off just past his brow tine. I just found the broken piece this June while working on a tower blind that had blown over. The antler was laying 5 feet from the blind. Kind of neat that I already had the mount on the wall and still found that antler that saved his life the prior winter. Best of luck on your dream bucks.
