I have an aproximate 26-27 inch draw length. When I pull back on a 60 pound peak bow set at 60 lbs at 30 inches it feels about the kind of weight I want. However when that same bow is set to 26 inches it feels much lighter. Is there a rule of thumb about this? ie if a 60 lbs peak bow that is adjustable from 26-31 inches (like the parker xp) is set at 26 inches what is the true draw weight?

Since I have a short draw length is my best option to get a 70lbs bow set to 26 inches?

The draw weight is still 60#'s, it just feels lighter because it is your proper draw length, making it more comfortable. Reason I shoot close to 70#'s is to keep my speed up a little.
