Okay so my bow is set at 55#, but has the 60# limbs. When I bought it, last fall I had no idea about shooting bows, etc. Now, I'd like to go ahead and max out my bow at 60#, but my question is... how much more speed or energy would be added with just 5 #'s ? As i said in another post, my bow is shooting right at 250 f.p.s... and the arrows (with 100 gr head) are around 400 gr.

not really sure but your bow should max out at around 65 pounds with 60 pound limbs cranked in so i would imagine you would get 20 or so f.p.s. but the only sure way is to take it to a pro shop and get it checked

The only way he'll get 65#'s is if the strings are new and cam is over-rotated. You might get 62-63 lbs if lucky. General rule of thumb is that you get approx. 10fps per 5# of weight increased or decreased. good luck!

i have seen bows that pulled out 5 extra pounds without over rotating. it really just depends on the bow.
