Im having a problem with the poundage on my bow, its a 60-70 lbs draw weight, I have it maxed out and its only at 62 lbs. I did get a new cam to shorten the draw length to 28 inches, also a new string as well. The bow was set at 70 lbs before I changed the cam. The bow is a Mathews SQ2.
He stated which bow. The cam may not be correct for the bow, alot of shops carry alot of cams, and may not have had your exact cam. Otherwise, put a lot of ass in it and crank it down. Stripping limb bolts is a common occurance in bows brought in by people, get yourself a key with a full handle, if the allen set seems like it's stripping. Once you strip it, we'll have to drill and remove them, and your going to absorb some labor cost for sure. Mathews are guaranteed for life, so if you are the original owner, or the shop is a reputable dealer, have it sent back. Bring the bow back to the shop that did the work and explain the issue. Every mathews cam has a number, and you can contact mathews tech support or post it here, and find out if its the cam. Otherwise, you have a 60lb bow and may have misunderstood, most mathews 60's max at 62. Lets hope your shop isn't shady enough to swap your limbs w/o you knowing, it's almost unheard of. IMHO. God Bless.
There's a serial number on the cam. Then you can go on the mathews website, find the section with the old manuals and you can check that cam number to your bow. It will also tell you which peg the string needs to go on for your draw length.
