Hello to all, this is my first post and I am brand new to this whole thing. Learning a lot from you all, it's much appreciated. I have an odd situation. I am fairly large and strong, but due to shoulder surgery eight months ago, I am being very careful as I proceed. I bought a Martin Rack Attack as my entry level, with a stated pull range of 55-70. As my shoulder is still creaky, I had them set it up at its lowest level (five turns in of the tension screw) and planned to work with this until my shoulder improved. Yesterday, a very experienced bow-hunting friend of mine tried my bow and insisted that it was pulling at 45 lbs at most. This guy has killed just about everything for a lot of years, so I respect his opinion completely, but I find it difficult to believe the bow would be so far outside stated specs. Have any of you ever encountered something like this?
