I did the john dudley method with the hand to the wall and measure to the corner of your mouth. Got a 27 3/4". Now for my question should I go with a 27.5" draw length or a go up to a 28" draw or go with what ever feels better in this case? Thanks.. Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Go to a local Archery pro shop if applicable, and shoot whatever you feel most comfortable with. Let them help you... they can tell you what fits you best.
Another method of measurement to try is measure your wing span. From tip of finger on left hand to tip of finger on right hand. Take that measurement and divide by 2.5. That should be close, then compare it to both methods and see how close the numbers are. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Dudley’s method yields a longer draw then other methods. For example, I come up with 29”. I haven’t shot a 29” draw length in 20 years since started knowing better. I am a 28” draw in about 80% of the bows I have owned and 28.5 in the rest. If you had to go with no other input at all then what you got from the Dudley method I would round it down rather then up.
See I shoot a 28" draw as of now. Shoot With a thumb release. But I did the wing span method and divide by 2.5 I get 28". Now if I do the hand to wall method I get 27 3/4". So I was just wondering if I should stay where I'm at. Just odd. Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
