Drag Rag yet??

Is anyone using a drag rag with estrus scent yet? Was thinking about trying this for the afternoon hunt.

 

I did saturday but no deer....

 

I'm gonna start tomorrow and try in the morning.

 

Haven't used estrous yet, probably next weekend. I did put some trophy buck on a scrape.

 

I had some estrous on a wick yesterday. Had some deer come in down wind from it and never came to check it out. Maybe to soon? I don't know.

 

I used some doe estrous today along with some Buck Jam (which I love by the way). I don't know what attracted the buck, but he showed up within 20 minutes. I've never seen him, only trail cam pics. But he showed up today quick!

But he caught scent of something that he didn't like (probably me) and left.


I can't say for sure if it was the estrous or the Jam that brought him in, but I've been using Jam all year and have never seen him. This is the first time I used the estrous and he showed up. Now if I can manage to get him into shooting range would be nice.

 

Thanks guys! I didn't use a drag, but I did put some Code Blue Estrus out on a coue of scrapes on the way in.

 

Next time I hunt (this Friday) I will be using one. November 1st is officially GO time!

Signs here indicate we are getting close. I plan on starting tomorrow to see if anything responds.
