    look for combined grain fields with ponds or creeks with water. the dove like to go to water in the evening. decoys help. they don't have to be motorized as it is illegal to use electric decoys for dove in oregon too.

    shot size, no larger than 6. I always use 7 1/2 or 8

    dove like the warmer weather, once we get a chilly night here in Oregon, they're all gone for the year.

    Thanks, that sounds good. I dont think ive ever seen anymore than 2 at a time together. But that's without any scouting. Its getting pretty nippy here at night being in the low 40s. Do you think they have shutdown already?

    PS I think this forum should be changed to a Fowl forum instead of only turkey.
