What exactly is the purpose of the dove tail? I have the HHA 5510TE on my Nitrum Turbo. My thought was that the farther away the sight housing is the more accurate you can be. I'm at the point now where I'm about to have a smaller peep installed. I know I can bring the sight back to make a good alignment but I think I'd rather have the sight as far away from the peep as possible. This is not a percent hunting rig so I'm not to concerned with light. I usually just use this one for target shooting & playing around with.
Not necessarily the further the more accurate. If you look at FITA shooters that are shooting 90 meters, they will almost all pull their sight bar in the whole way to help get that distance out of the sight without scope/fletch contact. The adjustable sight bar let's you perfectly fit the sight housing in the peep sight, can help you to get tighter/looser pin gaps by pulling the sight in/out, and can also help you to balance the bow. It's just another option you can leverage in certain scenarios with more adjustability.
But if you look at the Las Vegas shooters and what not when going for the X's they have there sight all the way out. You can be a little more precise and a little accuracy comes with that as well. Though the further you have your sight out the more the peep will float. Also the gap or your sight tape will spread Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
