So my girlfriend brought this idea up and initially I said it wouldn't work but the more I think about it the more I think it would?

Many of us hunt with girlfriends, wives, family or buddies in the sane tree. What if you both shoot that giant buck at the same time to put an extra arrow in him?

Something makes me want to think it is not ok bye the more I think about it the more I think it is. Even if one person shoots early and the deer drops the second arrow or moved away the first arrow should have hit it's mark.

Maybe this is illegal but what do you guys think? Sure would have some stuff to figure out if both you and your buddy out an arrow through the heart of a 200" buck:)

I wouldn't let anyone shoot at the same deer as me let alone a 200" buck lol. I want to rub it in my friend's face haha.

You only need one arrow to kill a deer. There are factors both within and outside your control that might cause a non-lethal shot. Meaning you could do everything right and still not get the kill, due to the uncertainties of shooting a linear projectile at something tens of yards away in variable conditions. I would argue that 2 arrows won't increase your odds because these factors affect both arrows. Not to mention the huge difficulty of timing and communication.

I feel like this would create more problems than it would solve

EXACTLY. Not too mention for some reason I bet wounding chances would go up....what if one shoots earlier and misses entirely and in the rush to "catch up" the other person shoots well before ready and bam wounded animal potentially mortally. Not an ethical approach to hunting in my opinion.

We owe it to the deer to make an ethical shot and trying to make a second shot at the same time would cause the second arrow not to go where intended and would likely cause unnecessary suffering. I say no go on this and just let one person make the shot if it's there.
