    Hey everyone,
I bought 2 packs of STEEL FORCE broadheads the premium 100 grain 4 blade earlier in May 2012 to use this season because Uncle Ted swore by them. Boy I was wrong. Half of them were bent out of the package. One was severly bent at the tip, and had a chip in the main blade. I called Vision Quest and the owners wife said that she would sent me out a new one immediately so I waited and waited for about 3 weeks and nothing. So I called again and again she said the same thing, that she would sent me out one and I waited for about another 3 weeks and nothing again. When I heard nothing back I decided that they didn't care so, I shot a squirrel with it. After I decided to write a letter to VISION QUEST about the quality of customer service I recieved. I was sent a return letter and the owner pretty much told me to stop using their product. I wasn't until after their letter was sent back to me I decided to spin test the rest of the heads and like I said 3 of the 6 were bent in some way. So in my mind the owner doesn't care about the little people who spend their hard earned money into buying a product that should be quality. They make junk products and don't stand behind their product. He even went as far as to try to say that all I wanted was free heads, when in fact all I wanted was a replacement for the broken one. One last thought, I have a lot of respect for Ted Nugent, because he stands toe to toe with the anti-hunting/anti-gun people, but I don't know why someone of his stature would use such a product that the company doesn't stand behind the product. Or that all they care about is making money, because I spent my hard earned money on them.

There are 2 other items I forgot to mention. On the packaging it says the main blades are made of stainless steel and will not rust. I know that they are not made out of stainless, because I go to the scrap yard reguarly and know that stainless does not rust, and most importantly what most people don't know is that stainless is not magnetic. After a morning hunt all my broadheads were wet so I took them out to air dry, however I didn't account for my quiver, and they all rusted. When they rusted I decided to put a magnet to them and, well they stuck to it.

So fellow bowhunters, would you buy a product that lies right out the gate?

The 400 series stainless steel (martinsetic, e.g., 440C stainless) is generally magnetic, while the 300 series (austinetic, e.g., 304 and 316) is not.

It is also possible for stainless steel to corrode (rust). There are over 150 grades of stainless steel and some are more prone to corrosion than others. Generally, the higher the chromium content, the less likely the steel will rust. However, over time, rust can and will develop on stainless steel.

So, though you might be right about the quality. It is Possible for those blades to be a LOW quality "stainless" Steel and still stick to a magnet and rust.

After I wrote about them being magnetic I decided to test my Buck knife which most people know is stainless, and it was magnetic and that tells me there is a higher percent of carbon in it, but it still doesn't rust! So I quess you could say I am dissappointed by the quality of the heads, but more so about the quality of the customer service.

One more thing, I was looking for another COC head any suggestions? Thought about G5's Montec and NAP's Hellrazor, and Magnus Snuffer ss what's your opinion on those?

I've used the G5 head and to be honest I hated it. I'm not familiar with the other two heads. I would go with NAP as I know they are a good brand. G5 is also a good brand but I want something better than a 1 1/8" cut. that's too small. If you miss by a little you are looking at a long and painful tracking job. I currently shoot NAP spitfires. The Maxx is a cut on contact head. A lot of people go with muzzy's. I know they are a good head and reasonably priced.
