So I'm on my new stand in a great spot....at about 9:30, I see a doe coming down the trail.... I get my bow and get set to draw....she is feeding calmly and heading in the right direction....I get my mind right and wait for her to get into my range....she stops at about 40 and becomes nervous...She stands still looking for about 5 or so minutes...calms and comes on a few yards... I pick the spot I'm going to draw..she gets just short of the little bush that will give me cover to draw...she stops freezes again than bounds off....

I stand there deflated; for a minute and then sit down pull off my mask and text my partnet..."just got busted"....we engage in a 5 minute texting conversation and I look up and 4 does are in the exact same spot one is stairing at me....she puts her head down and I reach for my bow..she looks up and I freeze....we stay like that FOREVER... the other three calmly feeding me frozen waiting out the doe stairing me down...she bolts, and they all follow....

I text my partner..."it gets worse, got busted again while texting..." we text a few minutes with me saying ..."fuk texting,.."

Look up and the four are back except they all are stairing me down...snort, stomp and poof.....

    I'm considering counseling.

That's no different than texting and driving. That's when chit happens! I go to the deer woods to hunt deer, not to converse with people.

Jumping off a bridge may help.......................with a bungee cord,

SB, anothe way to look at this situation is that you have DUMB deer wherever you are hunting. They will be back once again to tangle with you and your texting addiction.

The only reason I bring a phone is for a clock and emergency's. Keep it in your pocket and your eyes on the woods!

    Funny story. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I would keep the phone in your pocket.

Best wishes during your future hunts.

Ain't no cell service most of the places I hunt, but I don't "text" anyhow. Better luck next time....
