In the past during the height of winter I have provided alfalfa to the deer on the food plot. In doing research for this years plot of alfalfa and red and ladino clove mix I found a good reason to switch to feeding red clover bales. Red clover is baled at maturity fully flowered thus containing seeds. By spreading out a couple clover bales on the plot each week I am actually reseeding the plot as the seeds fall out when the deer eat the clover.
