What are your views on donating wild game meat, based on a food safety basis? I have to write an op-ed paper for my food safety class, and this is my topic. Have any special concerns about it, or do you just not think about how it was handled, what temperature it was stored at and how long, etc.?

Personally, I don't have a problem with it if I know the people personally and trust them, or they are deemed trustworthy by someone I deem trustworthy haha

I know that in the state of Ohio they have a program through dnr for it, but the deer has to be processed by a licensed processor. The game warded is then supposed to pick it up from the processor. I think it is a good idea so there are no questions on how old the meat is and if it was probably taken care of.

State of Delaware has a program as well.

    I love the idea.
