I disagree. Ryan didn't get the repubs WI. these days you can't count on a candidate delivering his state for you.
and thus, The Donald has doomed the Republicans. and I still feel like there is this national joke going on with Trump, and I'm the only one not in on it. Are people seriously supporting Trump? Like seriously want him to be the POTUS? I honestly can't tell anymore.
Voting for a 3rd party is not always a throw away vote. If a third party wants to be a part of the debates for the election, they must win 5% of the popular vote the election before. So if you want actual change, a 3rd party vote is actually the best way for that to come about.
So you complain that Trump would steal Republican votes by running Independent (which I agree he would) but then you say you voted for someone who essentially did the same thing in 2012? LOL What!?
I think it is more of a joke to think of Bill Clinton as the first lady than Donald Trump as president. There is no real difference anymore between a Republican or a Democrat, however Donald is quite a bit different. Don't let the media brainwash you on wasting your vote, voting for Donald or someone else like him is a vote for something else and that is what we need. Even if your vote does not get Donald elected, the percentage of votes in his favor might get someone else like him interested in the future, thus bringing real change. Donald has not doomed the Republicans, they have done that to themselves for years.
We need real change now-- not 5 years from now.. I make my vote count by choosing who I think will lead us where we need to go.. That's is not Donald- and it sure as heck isn't Chillary!
I fear the same thing, unfortunately, BUT the Republicans would be stupid to be that stubborn rather than just give him the nomination if he turns out to lead the polls come election time. As others said, I am sick of politicians, they've lost all my trust. I do like Rand Paul and also Cruz and Walker on many things, but I just don't see him (or them) getting the nomination over Trump, Rubio, Bush or someone higher profile.
That is exactly what it is! and it changes nothing.. As bad as I don't want to think or say it.. Its time for a revolution house keeping effort to sweep the dirt out under the rug and start anew...
What if Trump were to pick Rand Paul as VP? That would be awesome because then if they do well together and make a real change, it could setup for Paul to run for president in the future with a very strong resume proving what he can accomplish.
Now that is a stretch Spear... but I like the way you think.. One question though.. how do you get Donald to keep his mouth shut.. all the good Rand might do would get pi$$ed away by a few brash Donaldisms!
And we would have a repeat of Obama Biden team with that senario... Besides Donald plays second fiddle to no one.. Just ask him LOL
I know what we don't need, and that's 4 or 8 more years of Liberal "change", so for the love of god, we don't need conservatives throwing away votes. It's already hard enough to win the electoral college when California and NY account for over 31% of the electoral votes needed. Neither of which has cast their electoral vote for a republican since the 80's.
As long as Clinton, Sanders, Bush, or Christie don't get elected (the liberals), I would at least entertain one of the Republican candidates from the debate last night. Not saying I would be both feet in with just any of them, but at least it would give the republicans a chance to prove themselves. What sickens me is that being a politician these days isn't the same as what it meant 100+ years ago. It used to be about country, they've turned it into an opportunity for themselves.
