    1983-opening day story continued: after i killed button buck ,i took deer to Versailles State Police Post (check station) when i walked in ,up to a window a man came up to it in a blue sweater that said FBI.i got a little neverous. can i heip you he said. i said i need to checkin a deer.He replyed is it deer season already .i said came in this mourning. he said wait here i will be right back. Well he was gone for a few minutes, then came back with a big yellow enevolpe . ,he opened it up and took metal tags out ,with paper work, that i filled out .He then wrote my tag # down. and said i want to see deer. isaid o.k. i had a old 1970 chevy impala. with the deer in that big trunk. i open it up, he said. nice deer.WELL the deer i shot in the neck was laying on the side were you couldnt see were the arrow passed thru.He then asked me were i hit it at .WITH A DIRTY LOOK.I looked him back with a DIRTY LOOK and said > oh(right here in the neck) as i was lifting neck up. HE finally seen hole in the deer neck.O.K. He then gave me the tag ,and said CONGRATS> your the 1st bow hunter to check a deer in RIPLEY CO.:

    What were you using for treestands? My dad told me stories of using pallets or boards 10' up in tree limbs

    rivers edge fixed tree stands, p.s. I use to own the 1st fix postion tree stand sold on market.(loc-on limb) till it got stolen! by some bad hunters.....
