I've heard a lot of good things about this place. Razors are crazy expensive. I am lucky to have a stockpile from birthday's and Christmas but this looks like something I should try too.

I would join if I shaved with an actual razor. Typically I just trim up with the beard trimmer and call it a day. I only use the razor for my neck and only 1-2 times a week so razors last me a long time. If I shaved every day I'd be all over Dollar Shave Club. I'm pretty sure razors cost more than gold at most retail outlets, hence the reason they have security devices on them.

I am actually thinking about joining as well. I have been using an electronic razor for years just because of the cost. If I could shave with razors cheap I would probably go back.

My husband signed up based on a thread on this forum.

I've been thinking of switching to a straight razor. Anyone out there use one?

Don't shave. Hate it. Just clean up with a beard trimmer and call it a day.

Been with them for about a year now. Its cheaper then going to the store and buying name brand razors. Been using the 5 blade razor.

Yes and no. Don't use a straight razed but I do shave with a boars hair brush and a bar of hot shaving soap in a mug and have my whole life. Much cheaper and a great warm shave.
I'll fill the shaving mug with hot water and let it soak with the brush and razed as I shower. Then when I'm done showering ill set up my mirror in the shower and wip up a nice lather in the mug and shave my face while it's still warm. Fantastic shave.

Speaking of shaving, years ago some guy told me try shaving in the shower or as soon as you come out of the shower and you don't need shaving cream.

He was right. I haven't used shaving cream in over A decade... Try it and you will be a believer.

How much is Dollar Shave Club?

I use a straight razor that takes disposable blades. Smooth shave, cut myself many times...still learning. Been doing a lot of research on getting a "real" straight razor just not sure whether I'll be able to sharpen it properly.
