Wow, has it been hot and humid already this summer. Finally got out on Sunday and shot 30 arrows (first time shooting this summer). Got out tonight and shot 30 arrows. Glasses were fogging up and sweat just pouring. Bow was slipping in my hand. Had a storm pass through earlier, thought for sure that would help. Nope, the humidity got worse. Not really too worried about aiming at this point. Just working the muscles. We have 73 days until the opener here in Tenn. Who else is sweating it out and working the muscles? Good luck and as always, be safe out there.
I was kind of freaking out cause I haven't shot my bow since march. So I grabbed the bow stepped off 25 yds and let 2 arrows fly. Then I put it away. I know this is not that great for some here but I'm good with it
I'm with the OP on this, just working on getting those muscles worked back up right now. Will focus on hitting nocks in a week or two. Been shooting 20-30 arrows every other day
I shoot a lot from July until the season starts; just about every day and a lot of times twice. In the morning I go to my gun club and shoot anywhere from 75-150 arrows out to 70 yards. In the evenings I shoot at home to about 40. Monday I must have shot close to 200 arrows. Normally my sessions aren't nearly as long but I'm trying to break my bad habit of trigger punching and teach myself to shoot with back tension.
I usually get back into the swing of things in June and I shoot 3-4 times per weeks usually at 40-50 yards. I will verify my 20 and 30 yard pins are correct but I typically only practice at longer ranges.
I try to shoot everyday year round, otherwise you loose form and get out of practice. Usually shoot about 100 arrows a night (ish).
Haven't been able to shoot my bow for a few months now. I need to get a new arrow rest because my old one broke
I started up a couple weeks back and so happy I did. I am going to be building new arrows now and trying to become more consistent than the last two years. Started shooting from 50 yards for the first time ever. Not good there but, showing some promise. Have fun!
Even though it might be a little rough out at 50, it'll dial you in at your hunting distance. Good luck man.
Awesome! Keep practicing! I try to shoot as much as I can in the Summer months. Bow season starts the 2nd weekend in Sept here and it is HOTTT!!
Been shooting all summer and going to 3d tournaments but really I shoot year round especially since last season Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
It's miserable here in Florida. Just came in from a session, though. It's been more bearable in the evenings but not so much tonight. Still managed to knock out 30 shots but I end up wearing a towel over my shoulders. I don't normally try to get 'em this close but I was happy with the grouping.
