Yesterday my wife was out taking care of the horses when two puppies came up to her. They had obviously been out on their own for a while but they were very friendly and weren’t afraid of her.

After some calls to some neighbors we found that they had supposedly shown up at one of my neighbors house a week ago. They had fed them and she was trying to find homes for them. I knew what was going to happen as soon as she said that because I know my wife.

We now have two new dogs. They’re both male and obviously from the same litter. Not sure what that means for our future since we already have a male dog. He’s extremely laid back though.

We gave them a flea and tick bath last night and took them to the vet this morning. They were treated for worms and they got all of their puppy shots.

At least they’ll have a good home now.

I named them Bucko and Bubba. That’s the nicknames of two members of my hunting club.

I have absolutely no idea. We’re considering doing an Embark Canine DNA Test. To me they look like a cross between a Lab and a Mountain Cur, but I have no idea what they are.

We were down to four dogs and I was planning on getting another Beagle to train as a replacement for Elly May. This put the brakes on those plans.

You’re going to need a bigger bed! They are lucky dogs for sure.

I don’t plan on letting these two on the bed. We already sleep with two other dogs on the bed.

If my wife says these two are sleeping with us I’m moving out to the travel trailer where I can sleep peacefully.

Yeah, this is the second time we’ve had six dogs.

Back in 2016 we had a two month stretch where we had our six dogs, our son’s two labs and our daughters two dogs for a total of 10 dogs in the house. Now that was “dog rich”.
