I swear... Im sitting in my room, facebooking away and i hear my dog barking from the living room. This particular dog is a little jack russel mutt ankle biter type creature. Anyways, shes barking for about 10 seconds so i happen to look out my window and see a hen turkey making its way across the yard, not 30 feet from my German Short-hair Pointer who laying down looking the opposite way, unaware of the turkeys presence. My little runt of a dog procedes to run down the hallway, out the screen door and take off after this turkey. Now here lies the miracle...you cannot see the yard from the room that dog was in. How could she possibly sense that bird from inside of a house? Especially when my expensive pure breed "bird" dog 30 feet away couldnt? One of life's mysteries...
You ask a question, I gave an answer. I would start a conservative thread, but no one would be allowed to be a free thinker
Who care why the dog sensed its presence! All I care is that there is a turkey on our property that didn't get eaten by the coyotes!
I got pictures of 2 hens this week, one on each side of the road. Which means, this lone hen is the only bird we have on our property. LOL.
