Not much happening with bucks on my hunting spot till rut, so I'll be looking to shoot a doe as soon as I can for venison. Problem I have is they seem to randomly pick a different spot in the open grass area and they don't seem to come into the field from a predictable spot. If you had a bunch of does that were in the field that were over 50 yards away and wanted them to come a little closer to your stand at the edge of the field what would you try first. Baiting is illegal so we are talking lure, decoy or sound. Wondering what your exerience has been.

sometimes curiosity scents will get there attention. Like trails end #307. Honestly I don't like using scent as an attractant. As far as noises, I've heard of does coming over to check out a fawn bleat.

I tried out the fawn in distress call this summer when I was bored and within just a few minutes I had a doe walking in front of me at 15 yards while I was on the fourwheeler. She didn't even care I was there she was so focused on looking for a fawn.

i have tried a number of scents. i have found that the #307 or Buck nip. The buck nip is a scent that i have come to love. My first year trying it i had a mature doe com to within 15 yards of my ground blind and stood there smelling and licking the branch i put it on for 5-10 mins. I have also used distress calls and they work well too
