The only "hate" goin on between parts of PA is between hockey fans.. Penguin fans hate Flyers fans and Flyers fans hate Penguin fans.
I'll add that I don't really care for the city of Philadelphia either, I'd like for PA to just give Philly to Jersey.
In Missouri, you have the Kansas City fans and the St. Louis fans. There is quite the animosity when it comes to that. I really can't stand Cardinal fans to be honest and their elitest attitude. At least, everybody can agree on being Tiger fans for the most part. We don't even want to get into KU/MU. It's called the Border War for a reason.
Yeah, not too much hatred in the state except those hockey fans. Come to think of it, that damn NJ border kills us in the hockey AND football fans. Devils and Flyers fans are horrible toward each other. As are the Giants and Eagles.
F.I.B. = Friendly Illinois Buddy ? F.I.B. = Fantastic Illinois Bowfisher ? heh I used to live in WI, I know what it means. BTW, most true F.I.B.'s are Chicagoans. Us downstaters don't need to invade WI to go on vacation. :D
I think there are plenty of people (but probably not majority) in the Madison/Milwaukee area that think anyone north of Hwy 8 is does not have any teeth.
Ok so what I'm gathering are that most states are separated by the urban areas and the rural ares, which is to be expected. I guess it's different here in LA because it has nothing to do with who is more wealthy or educated (the entire state of LA is pretty much poor and uneducated), but it has more to do with south LA believing that they have all the true LA culture, and that north LA is just Texas or Arkansas. When people think of LA, they always think of the cajuns/creoles, mardi gras, and the bayous. All of that is in south LA. Not much of that in north LA, so south LA kinda feels like they are special in that regard.
Its a little different here. But only for half the year an only toward people who are here half the year. Im talikg about "Snow Birds"!!! They come by the tousands every year in about October and stay till May. They cant drive, are not courtious, rude to the buisness owners and restraunt owners in town. But we get alot of money from them here and I guess I cant be mad at that. And I guess not all of them are like that just the ones I pay attention to.
Looking outside the state lines, the south thinks they are somehow superior to the north and texas thinks they are better than everybody. I'm ready to duck now....:D
Wait, what? What area of the country is stereotyped as dumb and fat again? I'm pretty sure that would be the South? What area of the country pushes this stereotype? The entire USA that is not included in the "South".
Personally I've never heard or referred to the south as dumb & fat. So I can't answer that, I do however hear things like "The south will rise again" and various songs titled "I'm a southern man", and countless people flying the confederate flag. For the most part the only people who distinguish southerns from the rest of the country are themselves. I rarely, if ever, hear anyone refer to themselves as a "northerner". And just for the record I don't think any less of southerns than I do people around here, I just hear more geographical distinctions coming from that part of the country.
