Does Traditional Shooting Help Your Compound Skills?

    My brother learned the Compound bow before the Traditional, he is a very good Traditional Archer.

    I learned Traditional first and much later, learned the Compound. I am now a very good Compound Archer.

    I believe that my Traditional instinctive practice, most inevitably helped me to develop my Compound skills.

    My brother thinks that each type of Archery, rightfully belongs within its own category, because neither type of vertical archery has anything to do with the other. They are both mutually independent of one another and have a number of exclusive skill sets all their own.

    I disagree, I feel as though the skills always overlap within each.
